Since HETEs and lipoxins, the downstream products of 12/15-LOX from AA, may alter cellular proliferation and apoptosis,31, 32 and possibly explain the increase of tumour progression and metastasis. However, we here found that HETEs did not affect the proliferation of melanoma in vitro. This may part

  2025-01-21

We approached the definition of AD with the distinction between a syndrome and a disease in mind. Some will argue that a specific syndrome, that is, a multidomain amnestic dementia (after other potential etiologies have been excluded), should define AD in living people. Our position, however, is t

  2025-01-21

The correlation in the increase of BADH mRNA, protein levels, and enzyme activity, demonstrate that oxidation of betaine aldehyde by BADH is primordial to regulate the GB accumulation during physiological cardiac hypertrophy induced by pregnancy, this implies a major role because GB levels enhance c

Last decade has provided a number of studies indicating that AhR signaling could play a role both in the development and in progression of multiple cancer types, with potential implications for cancer therapy (for review see (Kolluri et al., 2017; Murray et al., 2014)). Activation of AhR is consider

ABCA2 and cancer drug response Overall, the expression of ABC transporters has been linked with multidrug resistance phenotypes through the efflux of drugs via ATP-dependent transport. For example, 13 distinct transporters (ABCA2, ABCB1, ABCB4, ABCB11, ABCC1–6 ABCC10, ABCC11 and ABCG2) have been

In conclusion, we have shown that mGlu7 receptors negatively regulate α1-adrenergic receptor signalling in heterologous expression systems, trans-isomer tissue and living animals. This interaction might represent a protective mechanism aimed at restraining an excessive activation of noradrenergic t

Interestingly, a homolog of C. elegans acr-23 is present in the A. suum PFI 3 (Jex et al., 2011). However, A. suum is not susceptible to monepantel treatment in vivo (Tritten et al., 2011). Our research seeks to advance knowledge on the mode of action of monepantel on nAChRs from Clade III (A. suum

5-HT3 receptors are distributed throughout the brain, within the brainstem (e.g., nucleus tractus solitarius, area postrema and spinal trigeminal nucleus) and prmt5 inhibitor (e.g., hippocampus, amygdala, nucleus accumbens, putamen and caudate) (Abi-Dargham et al., 1993, Barnes et al., 1989, Bufton

In liver, the essential organ of lipoprotein synthesis, ACL plays a fundamental role in lipogenesis and steroidogenesis by supplying cytosolic nucleotide triphosphates to both pathways.
