On the basis of the above information, we designed a new series of benzothiazole–piperazine derivatives (–) that have the aforementioned structural requirements (). Benzothiazole is an important ring system in the drug discovery studies of AD. There are several benzothiazole compounds that show pote

Previously, we reported that EL-Kras mice-fed diets rich in omega-6 FAs demonstrated increased pancreatic mast cell infiltration [16]. Significantly, increased infiltration of mast cells into the tumor microenvironment correlates with a poor prognosis [15]. Soucek et al.[25] demonstrated that mast c

In an effort to determine if one 5ARI was more effective than the other, the Enlarged Prostate International Comparator Study (EPICS) [17] compared treatment with finasteride and dutasteride in 1630 men over the age of 50 and concluded that after one year of treatment, both groups had statistically

Introduction Cancer, which is responsible for a million deaths each year, is universally feared, and approximately 50% of newly diagnosed cases can be cured [1]. The existing cancer treatments, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy or a combination of them, are quickly losing efficacy. The

  2025-01-23

Having taken a step back from affinity to gain better exposure and solubility, we started work to replace the unstable oxazolinone, and address the selectivity over the hERG channel. Keeping in mind the binding mode of the series from crystal structures, triazole was identified as another mildly aci

  2025-01-23

For these reasons, the role played by autophagy in environmental neurotoxicity is not always easily determinable. Indeed, although the neuroprotective role of autophagy has been shown by several studies, sometimes induction of autophagy was associate with deleterious effects (Glick et al., 2010, Sri

In summary, these data show that agonist exposure induces internalization and reduction in cell surface HA-mAPJ expression that occurs relatively rapidly during agonist exposure and recovers more slowly after agonist removal. Moreover the ppERK response of mAPJ-HEK293 cells to [Pyr1]apelin-13 desens

  2025-01-23

Once apoptosis has been initiated the HMGA proteins themselves undergo marked changes in both the types and extent of their post-translational modifications (PTMs; review in [149,175]), some of which are likely correlated with alterations in chromatin structure. For example, the early stages of apop

ERAP1 has been crystallized in two different conformations, wherein the C-terminal domain IV is either closely interacting with domains I/II and enclosing the active site (termed ‘closed’), or is rotated away in a hinge motion which exposes the active site (‘open’). This large motion correlates with

In this study, we designed and synthesized two ALK PROTACs (degraders), 5 (MS4077) and 6 (MS4078), by linking ceritinib and pomalidomide [45] through two different linkers. Using human ALCL and NSCLC cells, we characterized both compounds in a battery of assays to demonstrate their effects on reduci
