  2023-09-08

The benzimidazole group seems to be a key feature for the excellent anti-tumor activity of galeterone (159), which motivated the synthesis of new steroidal inhibitors containing N-heterocyclic groups structurally related to benzimidazole. Thus, several 1H- and 2H-indazole derivatives of dehydroepian

MADS box proteins in plants, a flourishing family In contrast to animals, homeotic genes in plants do not code for homeodomain-containing proteins, but rather, in almost all cases, for MADS domain proteins. The sequencing of the genome of Arabidopsis thaliana revealed more than 100 putative MADS

  2023-09-07

HMGA proteins have also been linked to localized changes in chromatin/nucleosome structure and alterations of cellular phenotype during induction of gene transcription in activated T lymphocytes. An adaptive immune response is initiated when naïve resting T lymphocytes encounter their corresponding

PGC-1α-mediated mitochondrial biogenesis in brown fat and endothelial sevelamer hcl is in part regulated by eNOS and NO [28], [29]. Recent studies indicate that H2S not only augments NO bioavailability and signaling [11], [17], but provides protection against cardiac injury in an eNOS-dependent mann

The rescue of the behavioral deficit was associated with a significant reduction in the levels of both soluble and insoluble Aβ peptides and their deposition in the Creatinine synthesis of the same animals. In search for the mechanism behind the reduced amyloidosis, we assessed APP metabolism. Conf

Application of the broad-acting 5-HTR antagonist methiothepin (Bard et al., 1996, Hoyer et al., 1994, Peroutka, 1990) converted the TBS-induced response of both thalamocortical and intracortical A1 synapses from LTP to LTD, an effect that was mimicked by the selective 5-HT2R antagonist ketanserin (L

In this study, PRP4 positively regulated MIIP levels and significantly inhibited the invasion of HCT116 cells. Further investigations elucidated that PRP4 dephosphorylated MIIP via PP1A regulation, which was confirmed by PP1A inhibition in the presence of OA. Upon dephosphorylation, MIIP possibly in
